Hi I'm Alex Hutchings.
I'm a fantasy and sci-fi author. My stories mix epic fantasy with an eccentric tone. My debut novel "The Laws of Alchemy", is the first in a series that I have taken to naming "The Diabrandt". I hope to release the next novel in the series "Cinder & Bone" later this year.

The first book in the Diabrandt universe explores the world of the Alchemists of Etriel. While these bureaucrats push a vision of themselves as civilised gentry, they're nothing but snakes. A political assassination from the very top sends Alchemist society awry, and only a monster hunter can solve it.
